On Monday I was told that there was a model search going on at a Best Western in my area. They find people who would stand a chance at a convention they hold two times a year, one in October and one in May.

I decided to check it out. I wore my white Steve Madden shoes, dress pants, baby blue polo, a Bulova watch with a blue face, and H&M sunglasses. I go in on Tuesday, talk it up with this Mike guy, and we get along well. He tells me to come back the next day and prepare to do a faux Ray-Ban sunglasses commercial. I check online to see the latest Ray-Ban campaign.

Ray-Ban’s latest campaign is called “Never Hide”, and a commercial they have is titled ‘Streaker’. I decided to go to the Wednesday interview wearing my gold shoes, H&M sunglasses, and my Speedo. I walk up the stairs and see the guy I talk to the previous day, and he has a weird look on his face when he sees me. I’m a little concerned, thinking “did I go to far?”. So I adjust my Speedo to make sure no baggage is hanging out, and I walk in. The woman, who is the president of the company, loves it! She said she never, in her years doing interviews, seen someone do such a thing. She gets the guy to take photos of me, and my shoes, with her cell phone camera. We do the interview, the faux Ray-Ban ad, and all the paper work. Now I’m registered for the October model convention where there will be LOTS of hot ladies to practice on.
