Mark Wahlberg On ITAS

I just finished watching Inside the Actors Studio with Mark Wahlberg. An actor isn’t just someone who plays a character, an actor BECOMES a character.
In order to become a pick-up artist you have to define what YOUR pick-up artist is. I watch Inside the Actors Studio to understand how the great actors find their character, and BECOME that character.
When figuring out the character Mark Wahlberg asks himself three questions:
1. Who is the character?
2. What is the character about?
3. What is the objective of the character?
Once Mark Wahlberg can answer those questions he will then go with the flow.
Here are some extra notes I took while watching Inside the Actors Studio with Mark Wahlberg:
- Real life experiences are the most important thing when being an actor.
- Mark Wahlberg has had many real life experiences, so everything he’ll need as an actor is right there. Mark Wahlberg is an emotional wreck (his words).
- Mark Wahlberg can get to an emotion at the snap of a finger.
- Mark Wahlberg remembers his dreams that he has at night.
- Mark Wahlberg doesn’t want to get too comfortable in his day to day life.
- Mark Wahlberg wants people to be honest. If Mark’s performance sucked then he wants to know, cause then he’ll work to get it right. And if at the end he gets it, and the directors happy, then he’s happy.
- Mark Wahlberg didn’t put himself in this position to get rich and disconnect himself from reality. He went into this position to do as much as possible, and give back to his community.
- Mark Wahlberg was excelling in every aspect of his life.
- Mark Wahlberg says you have to commit 110%, leave all the baggage at the door, and be willing to commit to let everything out.
- Mark Wahlberg doesn’t like people who expect special treatment.
There are many gold nuggets in the above notes. Take them into your life and you will become what you want to become.
