J, what kind of exercises have you done to improve your sight? Any webpage for that.

I’m very interested in that, because I do not like to wear glasses… although, reading your post, it may become a good thing, afterall, I hate to say it, but I’m a nerd.

No, really. If you have a good webpage, or a good book reccomendation on that, please let me know.

Depending on the level of your visual imbalance you may get great results with vision exercises. I improved my sight 35% in 6 weeks. Yes its not a quick fix. The problem with any surgery is there can be scar tissue. I will continue to wear glasses. I have more chicks then not say they love glasses. It makes a guy look intelligent, which I am.
I’ve heard more then once from hot girls.. ” you better not wear glasses around me or your gonna get it” I have and I did!

I did it around Orange County California for only $999 for both eyes and now I see alittle better than 20/20.. It is the best deal ever!

Fly down here get your eyes done then lets go hit up some clubs V!

This refers to what I was talking about in my first comment, your vision could get worse again if you get the surgery too soon….my suggestion to you V, is to go get multiple opinions from DOCTORS, it may cost you some money but your vision is definitely worth that much if not more.

Here are some things to consider (i’m just going off my good friend’s experiences as I’ve never had the surgery before).

1) Be sure to find a reputable doctor. In my town (San Diego), there have been reports of doctors with minimal training doing it and the results aren’t always good.

2) You seem young (I’m guessing early 20s). My friend had his eyes done in his early 20s. After the surgery, his vision was excellent. I have always wondered if there is a natural way to correct your vision… I mean, if blind people can develop their sense of hearing, why can’t vision be developed and improved as well?

Glasses bug me after an hour, and they also have a negative impact on your image. Contacts are fine, but they’ve got their own issues (time to put in/take out, cost, pain/discomfort/blurriness if you get something on them or you’ve had them in for too long.

Laser eye surgery is pretty pricey, but an option I’ve got on the list to look into.

If it costs 4k for the whole surgery (a figure I’m basing off of http://www.allaboutvision.com/visionsurgery/cost.htm, everything is USD as I’m American).

If you figure it takes on average 2 mins to get your contacts in/out (factoring in cleaning it off if it hurts right out of the case, or if you drop it or it falls out).. 2 mins x twice a day = 4 x 365 days a year = 24.33 hours a year spent fiddling with contacts. If you make $20/hr, that’s $485 worth of time you’ve saved in one year, so the surgery pays for itself in your own personal time in just over 8 years.

This figure is, of course, totally independent of the cost of the contacts themselves.

Next step is to hook up with someone who works at an eye clinic and can get you some free colored, no-correction trial samples

I talked to an optimalogist about getting about getting eye surgery shortly after my 18th bday, he said that the eye continues to develop well after puberty is over, up until the age of about 24, so getting eye surgery before then is pointless, because your eyes could revert back to the way they were, wait until mid-late 20’s to do it, so I’m waiting, impatiently, I suggest you do the same. For now I’m wearing contacts…

I wouldn’t know, I have a 30/20 vision. But, if it will help you pick out your targets from further away, can you really put a price on that?

Eye sugery: $600
New pair of jeans: $300
Being able to see a hot girl from 200 feet: PRICELSS

For everything else, there’s MASTER CARD, or VISA, or your spare kidney.

But honestly, I have many friends that had it done, and they don’t regret it. The only thing I do recommend, is researching the clinic where you will get it done, get some references from them etc etc etc.
You don’t want them to make you blind now do you?!?
