Prizes & Gifts For The Forums

Hey guys,
I would like to implement prizes/gifts into the Becoming A Pick-Up Artist Forums.
What do you guys think about offering prizes/gifts to people who contributed the most to the forums each week/month?
What about prizes/gifts for people who referred the most people to the forum each week/month?
If you guys are cool with this then what kinds of prizes/gifts would you like to be offered? (i.e. books, CDs, DVDs . . .) Keep in mind that the forums must be able to support the cost of the prizes (i.e. no all exclusive trips to a burlesque house in China).

Alternatively, you could use the money to buy relevant material yourself for your readers.
you could set up a poll asking what everyone would like to have and let’s say the result would be, for example, Johnny Soporno’s Worthy Playboy material, get it and make it available for the people on the forum.
I don’t believe that would be legal.

I’m sure you could tie in some of the more famous products with an offer. Talk to the owners of each program and see if they’re willing to donate a free copy.
You have to understand that by providing an incentive to post, you will get a lot of members who will contribute nothing, but will post bs just to get their post count up.
That is what “karma” is for. If someone is just posting crap then you “smite” them (I may change “smite” :)).

No way V! While it does sound like a good idea, rewarding people for just making the most posts will lead to people posting random things that dont help anyone. Reffering people would be okay i guess, but there will always be those computer guys that will be able trick your system to always win. Its up to you, but please do not implement a most posts/topics contest…that will greatly decrease the credibility of our forum.
While prizes are always good, i think it would be best that we stick to honestly trying to help each get the ultimate prize…i don’t think that anyone would take a book or a video over that.

This sounds great. However I see his resulting in allot of keyboard jockeys, I see this especially resulting in RAFCs who have just been introduced into the game and are desperate for books and DVDs. I thin it would be much more effective to reward those that give the most helpful advice. This can be seen in your “karma” system. Those whom get the most karma get the books, tapes, DVDs etc.
i think you should get books/dvds on PUA material for prizes. Like “The Game” ect
