Sunday Sunday Sunday . . .

The snow had fallen today. So much had fell that few went out, including myself. I invited a female acquaintance from down the street over. We enjoyed some “magical” Starbucks hot cocoa (it tastes like regular cocoa, but costs more), as well as some snuggling by the faux natural gas log fire.

Last night I brought my dictionary along with me to the bars.

I’ll admit, using a dictionary is stupid, but I still managed to get 3 solid numbers using it.

I’d approach a set, pull out my dictionary, make a comment like, “Hey, you remind me of . . .”, and randomly select a word out of the dictionary.

If you’re great at improve then this is a great tool. If not, then don’t do it.

Opening with a dictionary is a way to force yourself to move to another topic. If you keep using your dictionary then it’ll appear gimmicky, like most openers.

If you open with a dictionary, put it away, and start another topic. It’ll appear spontaneous and VERY different. An “odd” differentiation from others, but still different :)

It sucks schools out. The school girls are either too busy studying or gone home for Christmas.
