What Is IT All About?

So what is IT all about? At first IT was all about sex.
Most great pick-up artists had/still have a lot of intimate relationships. I don’t really see myself as having a lot of intimate relationships, but when in comparison with most guys then I have had “a lot”. What most don’t see behind the scenes, mostly due to ignorance, is the amount of dedication great pick-up artists have put into their “craft”.
As an ignorant male you abide by the stupid game of life; graduate school, get a job, get a nice car, a nice place, then attract the ladies. That will get you a girl, but that girl has that same doctrine in life; find a guy that has graduated school with a great job, nice car, and nice place. That relationship does work, but inside you ask, “There’s got to be something more than this.”
When a guy starts out in the pick-up arts they begin to step outside of the box. The guy attracts girls who like guys who are a little “different”. Soon the girl realizes that the “different” guy is “bi-polar”. That guy isn’t sure of himself and the world around him, and thus not a “real” man. If you invest little into this art then you’ll get little out of it. Most likely you’ll stop, be “normal” and settle with a decent girl. Again you’ll ask, “There’s got to be something more than this.”
When you get good at the game you will move up the ladder; 5’s, 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 9’s, 10’s, and UNBELIEVABLE girls. Once you find the 10’s and 11’s that you think are “perfect” you ask, “There’s got to be something more than this.”
Once you get through that cycle above you realize that you must find a girl you can confide in TOTALLY. For me, I lean towards spiritual girls who outwardly express themselves without worry of the world (i.e. SuicideGirls). These girls are difficult for me to find. That is why I’m out for hours a day. I’m trying to find those girls who I can share myself with on a level beyond the rational.
When you TRULY share yourself with a girl IT is more powerful then anything you have ever thought of.
So then what is IT about? When I ask myself that question I always come back to a quote by Socrates; “I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.”

Don’t buy into that nonconformist Suicide Girl myth. They are just as worried about the rest of the world, just in a different way. Just like the businessman feels pressure to wear a suit and do a 9 to 5 and fit into his clique and impress his peers, the Suicide Girl feels pressure to act anti-traditional, wear piercings and tattoos and live up to the counterculture expectations of her clique and impress her peers. Their both followers, just followers of different crowds. It’s not like you are going to find a Suicide Girl that is antiabortion, Republican and loves Leann Rimes songs for example. Just like the working stiff is a conformist to his crowd, the Suicide Girl is a conformist to her own crowd as well.
There’s a great, GREAT book about this phenomenon, Nation of Rebels: Why Counterculture Became Consumer Culture by Joseph Heath and Andrew Potter that breaks it down really well.
There’s insecure girls in every “niche”. I just find the SuicideGirlsstyle to be an extreme, and I love the extreme.

This is probably your best post yet, in my opinion. Just cruising the forums for a few minutes provides enough evidence that there’s too many amateur PUA’s (if such a thing exists), that are only interesting in sex and upping their ‘count’.
Your post is the first of it’s kind I’ve found, that actually explains to everyone that there’s more to the pickup lifestyle than sex.

One very simple post on the meaning of life and not following the “Graduate, Job, Car, Marriage, House, Babies path and you think V is different?!!!
Every PUA gets to this point when they are fucking several chicks and they can choose who they fuck and then they think “So now what?” or “Is this it?”. They have reached their initial goal. Any PUA on this journey will reach this point. And then maybe if he keeps searching and improving then he will be enlightened. The other PUA bloggers just havent gotten to this point yet.
Hey V, no doubt about the exotic factor or the fact that they’re hot. Totally agree there. Just didn’t agree with them not worrying what the rest of the world thinks about them. I think they are extremely image conscious.

First of all let me say that I’m dutch, so excuse any flaws I might have in my english.
the only reason you lean more to the suicide girls thing is because they’re more complicated, they have more ‘problems’, more worries, they think more about every aspect of life. hence, you will more likely be inclined to have a solid conversation with one of them in contrary to an ‘insecure’ girl who spends shitloads of time in front of the mirror and can’t talk about anything but her hair or other crap that really doesn’t matter at all. (I know cos I’m quite a bit of a pickup artist and my current girl is exactly as i described just above *sigh*)
people describe me as a ‘player’ but i just want to have a good time and find someone i can share not only my body, but also my mind with.

That sounds like love to me dude. I have experianced that, but am very early in my journey to become a PUA (though i’d prefer just to use the term ladies man). I supppose some of us are doing it the other way around.

My diet consists of oatmeal, applesauce, natural whey protein, salad, carrots, brown rice, and a multivitamin.

I live with my dad.
If the girl is loud then I’ll make sure to invite her over when my dad is at work, or just go to her place.
If she wants a guy with his own place then that’s her choice.

I think it’s pretty normal that the beginner pua is uneasy with himself, he is after all changing his entire way, and he’s thinking too much. I’m still there, but i think it’s something you get used to, and once you’ve changed yourself to become the ideal man you want to be, you won’t have to think about it anymore.
One question: is it really true that HB9’s and HB10’s are more insecure than the other ones?
