His books do push the envelope, though I feel its the energy transmitted behind the words that counts, if you take all he says as hard rules you will never be in the moment, you have to feel into the moment for yourself:

- You should play both masculine and feminine sides, if not you’re half a person

- It’s up to you to take over the masculine.

Huh??

Oh ICK.

A guy that I just went on one date with went to this seminar..er, workshop for 3 days.

He calls me the next day, tells me that he feels "horny"..yeah a real gentlemen. Apparently they don't teach men to be strong sexy gentlmen, or real men, but just "speak your mind and she wil come" That is BS.

This seems to me to be an excuse for men to get off- just watch a porn and read Deepak Chopra.

I really need to read The Way of the Superior Man now. I've been looking for a way to link my interest in Buddhism to my fascination with women, and it looks like he's the guy.

What are you talking about?
Those notes were good and straight to the point.
Anything you need to know about a relationship is there.

(thought abruptly continued...)
Some of the superstition kind of contradicts itself too.

For example, how can someone get in your way if you have no goals?

I liked some of the notes...
This line in particular struck me as... thought provoking:
"Feel that you are dancing in your body, but you can kill the next person who gets in your way."

I read David's book. It's heavy emphasis on spirituality left me a little bit feeling like some of the stuff really had no basis other than his own superstition.

One of his "superstitions" I felt was his emphasis on tantra and never "spilling your seed." I believe at one point in the book he actually said that if you came you were showing weakness, and even if the woman said she wanted it she'd still lose respect for you. I call bullshit.
